Post Treatment Care
Skin Boosters
Why it matters.
Skin Booster treatments are administered through multiple small entry points to deliver hydration directly into the skin’s deeper layers. As this process involves tiny breaks in the skin barrier and the introduction of a foreign substance, your skin is temporarily compromised. Following the recommended aftercare is essential to support healing, minimise risks, and ensure the best possible results.
Care Guidelines.
Avoid touching or massaging the treated areas for the first 24 hours.
Do not apply makeup for at least 12 hours post-treatment.
Avoid strenuous exercise, saunas, and excessive heat for 24–48 hours.
Stay well hydrated to support your skin’s healing and hydration response.
Always apply SPF 30+ daily and avoid direct sun exposure.
If bruising occurs, a topical bruising cream may help reduce discolouration, if this is something you are interested in, please contact the clinic for support.
In-Clinic Support.
Schedule a review appointment at 2 weeks to assess your results and determine if further refinement is needed.
LED Light Therapy is highly recommended immediately post-treatment or within 24–48 hours, then 2–3 times in the first week to help reduce redness, support healing, and boost skin recovery.
If you’re prone to bruising or concerned about it, we recommend a bruising cream to support faster healing, please contact the clinic if this is something you are interested in.
Plan your next Skin Booster treatment in line with your practitioner’s advice to maintain and enhance results.
For long-term outcomes, we recommend a tailored skin treatment plan that combines Skin Boosters with complementary treatments to optimise overall skin health and radiance.
Concerns.
After treatment, it’s normal to experience mild swelling, redness, or small bumps that settle within a few days. However, you should contact the clinic immediately if you notice severe pain, significant or worsening swelling, spreading redness, prolonged bruising, skin discolouration, or any symptoms that feel unusual or concerning. Your safety is always our priority, and we encourage you to reach out with any concerns — no matter how small.
What to expect.
After your treatment, you may notice small bumps, swelling, or redness at the treatment sites — these are normal and usually resolve within 24–48 hours. Some clients may also experience minor bruising or tenderness. As the skin begins to settle, you’ll notice gradual improvements in hydration, plumpness, and overall skin texture.
Day 1 (pm only): Use a gentle cleanser and light, hydrating serum or cream. Avoid actives (retinol, AHAs, BHAs, vitamin C).
Day 2–3 (am/pm): Continue with a gentle cleanser, hydrating serum, moisturiser, and SPF in the morning. No actives yet.
Day 4–7 (am/pm): Reintroduce actives only if your skin feels completely settled. Hydration and barrier-repairing products should remain the focus.
Day 7-Ongoing: Resume your full skincare routine as guided by your practitioner.
Incorporating Skincare.
Results typically last several months, with many clients choosing to repeat treatments 2–3 times per year for best results. With consistent maintenance and a strong skin health plan, you’ll enjoy hydrated, radiant, and smoother-looking skin.
