Post Treatment Care

Chemical Peel

  • Keep skin hydrated with a gentle, non-active moisturiser.

Use a broad-spectrum SPF 50+ daily (reapply every 2–3 hours if outdoors).

Avoid exfoliating agents, active skincare (retinol, AHA/BHAs, vitamin C) until advised.

Do not pick or peel shedding skin.

Cleanse with a mild, non-foaming cleanser.

  • Following a chemical peel, it is normal to experience redness, tightness, mild swelling, and peeling of the skin over several days. The intensity will depend on the depth of the peel. Some dryness and sensitivity to sunlight are also expected. The healing process is part of your skin’s natural regeneration.

  • Chemical peels work by exfoliating and resurfacing the skin, intentionally compromising the skin barrier to stimulate renewal. Because the outer protective layer is weakened, dedicated aftercare is essential to protect the skin, reduce irritation, and maximise treatment outcomes.

  • Day 1–3 (am/pm): Gentle cleanser + soothing moisturiser + SPF (am only).

Day 4–7 (am/pm): Continue gentle care; introduce hydrating serum if tolerated.

After 7 Days: Slowly reintroduce actives under clinician guidance.
